Fire & Safety was founded by Bill and Aleksandra Emory in 1989. At that time we were
fortunate to be selected to team with Morning Pride, Inc., which
is located in Dayton, Ohio. Morning Pride already had what proved to be
the highest quality bunker gear in the American Fire Service, but their
fine products had been marketed only in the Midwest.
///////In the early 1990’s, Hi-Tech
played a major role in introducing Morning Pride products throughout the
Northeastern United States. Since that time, to insure top quality service
to our customer base, we have consciously refocused our efforts on the
New York Metropolitan Area. The New York City Fire Department and a substantial
number of Long Island departments have enthusiastically converted to Morning
Pride products.
///////For 20 years, Hi-Tech has been honored to serve as Master
Distributor for Total Fire Group’s superior line of Morning
Pride products. In addition to state-of-the-art Bunker Gear, other Morning
Pride products we offer include USAR Gear, EMS Gear, helmets, gloves,
hoods, and more recently, the immensely popular Pro Warrington Leather
Boots.
///////Over the years, Hi-Tech has evolved into a true family-run
business that is intent on providing our customers with the highest quality
products and customer service. My wife, Aleksandra, serves as Office
Administrator, and our daughter, Karen Emory Mandel, is now Vice
President of Marketing. Our Vice President of Sales and Service is Mike Cronin, formerly Chief of Training for FDNY. This cross-section
of leadership talent makes it possible for us to provide you with only
the highest level of support and service.
///////We currently serve more than 140 Fire Departments on
Long Island, FDNY and numerous departments in Downstate New York.
We have expanded our product line to include only the highest quality
products and services. We supply a host of carefully selected product
lines specifically designed to minimize your Firefighter risk. These are
highlighted here on this Web Page.
///////We have launched a major effort to
provide products manufactured by Draeger Safety, Inc., based nearby
in Pittsburgh. In business since the late 1800’s, Draeger provides
only the highest quality respiratory, detection, and training products
and as a result has grown to become the world’s largest respiratory
and detection manufacturer.. The Long Island Fire Service has begun
to successfully utilize Draeger products, and over 90 of our Draeger 4-Hour Rebreathers were procured by FDNY’s Special Operation
Command to support them in tunnel and other long-term rescue operations.
///////We at Hi-Tech wish to thank you, Our
Customers, for the support and hospitality extended to us as we celebrate
our 20th Anniversary. We hope we have played a meaningful role
in reducing the risk Firefighters face on a day-to-day basis. We are confident
that our expansion into new products and enhanced customer service will
advance this effort even further in the future.
